Got this kit for my 6 year old daughter. It couldn't be more perfect for that age. She can use the rod, reel, and tools with ease and no fear of a disaster. Everyting is well organized and easy to pack up at the end of the day. Product quality is excellent and the carrying case is very stout, because lets be real kids aren't gentle!! A must have for any young fisherman or woman!!

We have three of these I like that I can have the kids have their own stuff. They fit nicely whether in the boat or in a vehicle. Customer support is great when we had a pole break not from quality of parts but kids being kids

As an outdoor education teacher, I'm always looking for equipment we can use with students. With two teachers managing a class of 20-25 students, anyone can imagine the challenge presented if students lack any independent skills. Without good equipment and training, the majority of our time is spent overcoming common issues and not actually fishing. It would be nice to have a small instructional booklet or a story that is themed on fishing techniques,knots, and the various setups for the different types of fishing activities.

To get some practice right out of the box, I clipped the hook off a spinner fly with a small leadweight (both provided in the tackle) so we could start casting in our house safely. I’ll happily follow up with images of this setup.

The Easy Angler is awesome! Gt it for my son's 5th birthday and took it out the next day to try. Tangle free and high quality rod/reel combo. The included hooks and lure are a nice touch but the included case is great. 100% recommend this for young anglers and would definitely buy again.

Even better than I imagined. It came with a good amount of starter tackle, a mini tackle box, a pair of pliers/snips and an extra rod tip. While initially hesitant, I believe this is a great value.

The reel mechanism is all metal and the release button feels crisp. My favorite detail in all of this is the rod tip; tenuously shaped to prevent tangles at the first eye.

Truly can’t say enough about this. Might even order one for myself to keep in the back seat of my truck because it stows so neatly in a compact hard bag. If you’ve ever been frustrated with the quality and performance of the standard kids rod/reel combos on the market, this kit is for you. I wish I had found this sooner.

This kit is well suited for a variety of different species of fish and has everything one needs to get started. I'm a huge fan of the all in one carrying case as well as the line guide that prevents tangles. I would recommend this forany young angler looking to get into the sport!
